The intent at the outset was to have at least a third of the plot as a garden. This was achieved by adopting an L shaped configuration, by balancing opposing architectural elements, such as solids & voids and opaqueness & transparency.
The solid block consisting of bedroom, kitchen & stairwell sits on the south-west, while the living & dining areas inhabit the open transparent element situated in the south east, providing seamless interaction between the inside & outside.
