House X

Amid Noida’s dense fabric, this home prototypes affordable, adaptable and climate-responsive urban housing.

Three interlocking forms—a circular living drum, service wedge, and rectilinear frame—shape light-filled interiors opening to a park and a rear courtyard, desgined around an old Ber tree. Built in six months for under $18/sq ft, with exposed brick, concrete, jaali screens, and passive cooling, it proves that sustainability doesn’t need to compromise spatial delight.
