Challenging post-Independence modernist austerity, the Yellow Brick House reimagines a family plot as a study in light, durability, and sustainable craft.

Set beside a school playground, it orients living spaces to southern tree-lined views. Four bedrooms wrap the plot’s edge, designed around a central light shaft that hovers over the dining space while a sunken courtyard brings natural light to the lower levels. Pale bricks, high-performance glazing, insulated roofs, and efficient systems underscore resilience and celebrate timeless materiality across this narrow 2:1 site.
