The design of Vista House in Defence Colony reconfigures the constraints of a narrow urban plot into a volumetric composition of brick and concrete.

 

Breaking down a monolithic mass into spacious volumes, the residence balances efficiency, privacy, and context. Elongated balconies and planter galleries extend across the street-facing facade, doubling as sound and visual buffers, while a vertical lightwell punctuates the plan to bring daylight and ventilation to the interiors. A basement-level dental clinic connects to the ground floor through this cut-out, while three residential levels rise above, culminating in a private top-floor retreat. Locally sourced stone and timber form a durable, climate-responsive palette.
